Meet Linda, a beautiful little girl who was born with a hereditary skin disease that covers most of her body.
She has been bullied and segregated, and rejection has been a huge part of her life story. She is under our Voices Awake Sponsorship, mentorship and feeding program, and today was a great day for us.
We travelled to Benga to meet skin doctors who are here in Malawi for a mission trip under Msca. The nice doctors examined her and gently explained what really happens in her body and why she is like this–a question she has asked most of her life.
We told her she is beautiful and that this doesn’t have to be the tragic story of which she is the victim of. She walked out of the room certain that she wants to be just like the Lady Skin Doctor who saw her.

She wants to learn about skin and why it had to be her with this, and she wants to help others with skin diseases to not feel the way she had felt for most of her life.
We are so excited to see how this beautiful girl's story unfolds.
